February 21, 2007 (Sawf News) – Documents have been revealed which suggest that Anna Nicole Smith may have had the intention of changing her will just days before her tragic death.
TMZ obtained a copy of the fax’s cover sheet, sent 02/03/2007 at 02:18. The cover sheet was signed with the initials RAR, presumed to be those of Howard K. Stern’s lawyer Ron A. Rale.
It is unknown to whom the fax was sent, but it seems that Rale's only connection to Smith was Howard K. Stern.
The fax contained Smith’s original will; and it raises questions regarding Smith’s intentions for changing it. However, Smith’s state of mind in recent months, especially in the latest home video showing her stoned and the discovery of the Methadone drug in her Bahamas home, have put forward doubts that she was mentally capable of changing her will.
Her will was last updated in 2001 and she had left everything to her now-deceased son, Daniel. Stern was named executor of her will and there was no mention of her new baby daughter, Dannielynn.
Dannielynn would probably inherit her mom's property outside the written will, and unless Stern can prove paternity, he would probably lose his claim to serve as trustee.
Was it truly Smith’s wish to change her will, or was Howard K. Stern, dubbed by some of Smith’s friends and family as a gold-digger, in the process of changing his partner’s will just days before she died?
