August 9, 2008 (Sawf News) - Aspiring designer Lauren Conrad showed good style as she caught a flight out of Los Angeles international airport with a group of girlfriends on Saturday, August 9.
Conrad, 22, wore a green plaid shirt, unbuttoned to create a plunging neckline, with dark blue skinny hipster jeans. She accessorized with a black leather shoulder bag, dark shades, golden flip flops and toted a bright pink suitcase.
'The Hills' star walked away with two surfboards at the Teen Choice Awards 2008 at Universal Studios' Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 3, 2008: Choice TV Female Reality/Variety Star (Third time in a row) and Choice TV Celebrity Reality for The Hills.
The TV Academy announced earlier this week that Conrad will design the first 'couture red carpet gown' for the 60th Emmy Awards.
The gown will be worn by the 'trophy girls' who bring Emmy statuettes on-stage for presenters to hand to winners.
The trophy girls will walk the red carpet before the show.
Conrad, whose debut collection presented at Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week in March has not done well and was dropped by Kitson in Los Angeles, her hometown, is excited about the new break.
"I will be doing a red carpet look that still reflects the simple classic design of the Lauren Conrad Collection but with a black tie twist," she said in a statement.
The Emmy Awards airs September 21 on ABC.
