November 12, 2008, (Sawf News) - Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have completed the first production schedule for Mani Ratnam's Ravana on location in the Malayatoor forest near Kochi, Kerala and are now on a short break.
They will be back on set on Friday, November 14, for the second schedule of the film, reports galatta.com.
The couple stayed at a picturesque resort beside the Athirappilly waterfalls near Chalakudy town for the last two weeks.
A tight security cordon has kept the press and the fans away from the film set, Mani Ratnam reportedly does not want anyone to get a glimpse of the costumes being worn. However, it has been leaked that Aishwarya arrived on set dressed as a Tamil Brahmin.
Ravana, a modern day adaptation of Ramayan, is an intense love story focused on the Ram-Sita pair, played by Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in the Hindi version with South actor Vikram playing the Ravana analog.
Vikram replaces Abhishek as the Ram analog in the Tamil version. The Tamil version of the film will also be dubbed in Telugu.
There are seven songs penned down by Gulzar in Hindi and Vairamuthu in Tamil.
The film is produced by Mani Ratnam's sister Sharda under Ratnam's banner Madras Talkies.
