London, April 17 (ANI): Ace footballer David Beckham’s tattooist, Louis Molloy, has named the former England captain Big Balls because he does not flinch while having an artwork made on his body.
Louis says that he was stunned to see that David, who has so far been called Golden Balls by his fans, quietly watched football during an agonizing six-hour tattoo session.
"He doesn’t even wince — he just watched football as I did the elbow to the wrist, which is painful," the Sun quoted Louis as saying.
"You need big balls to do that. Hats off to him," he added.
Louis says that the message of the design is inspired by a line from a Roman poem, "Let them hate as long as they fear".
He insists that he had to spend six months on the design before he created it on Beckham’s hands.
"We spent six months on the design. The message he wanted was ‘Each man the architect of his own fate’. After some tweaks and a process of elimination, ‘Let them hate as long as they fear’ won," he said. (ANI)
