© AFP/File Max NashMarch 24, 2008 (Sawf News) - American actress Jessica Marie Alba gained recognition with the television series Dark Angel (2000-2002). She is best known for her roles in films such as Sin City, Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Born on April 28, 1981 in Pomona, California, Jessica's father is of Mexican descent and mother of Danish descent.
Jessica recalls being interested in acting since the age of five. She made her debut in films with a small role in the 1994 feature Camp Nowhere.
The same year, she featured in three episodes of the Nickelodeon comedy series The Secret World of Alex Mack.
Alba made her mark as a genetically-engineered super-soldier, Max Guevara, on the FOX sci-fi television series Dark Angel.
Jessica is engaged to producer Cash Warren whom she met while making Fantastic Four in 2004.
The couple was blessed with their first child, a baby girl named Honor Marie Warren, on June 7 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
