American pop rock singer, songwriter, and actress Ashlee Nicolle Simpson gained recognition with the success of her debut album Autobiography in 2004. The album debuted at No 1 and went triple platinum.

March 22, 2008 (Sawf News) - American pop rock singer, songwriter, and actress Ashlee Nicolle Simpson gained recognition with the success of her debut album Autobiography in 2004. The album debuted at No 1 and went triple platinum.

Born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas, Ashlee is the younger sister of Jessica Simpson.

Simpson's initial success was marred by an incident of lip synching to pre-recorded vocal tract while performing on Saturday Night Live in October 2004.

Simpson is currently dating Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.
