December 03, 2008, (Sawf News) - Britney Spears is "in full control, nobody is telling her what to do," says her manager Larry Rudolph.
Speaking to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush for "The Billy Bush Show", Larry played down concerns about Britney's return to showbiz less than a year after she was hospitalized for mental health, and her lack of freedom under the conservatorship that oversees her personal and professional life, as well as her finances.
Ironically, Britney herself highlighted her lack of freedom in the recent MTV documentary - Britney: For the Record.
"Nothing is happening that's not at her request or her comfort level," says Larry. "She's doing what she loves to do, and it's making her very happy," Larry continued. "She's in full control, nobody is telling her what to do. If at any moment she said, 'I don't want to do this.' That's what would happen."
Larry insists Britney's return to showbiz has been carefully calibrated.
"This has been a gradual process. It just didn't happen over night," says Larry. "She's in a great place. She is very happy with what she is doing. She's being incredibly productive. She's looking good and she's feeling good."
Britney's new album, Circus and the recently announced tour to support it, which starts on March 3 in New Orleans and ends on April 28 in Rosemont, Illinois, are keeping her focused. She plans to rehearse every day for the next two months to get her act perfect.
"We are going to bring the circus to town," Larry added. "It is [going to be] just amazing… this is going to be the best Britney show ever, by far. It's going to be a don't miss show."
