More than 53 percent of TV viewers in the UK are believed to have tuned into Britney's lip synching X-Factor performance on Saturday, making it the most watched episode of the entire TV series.
On her arrival at New York, Britney looked stylish in a bright yellow with grey stripes turtle neck sweater under a camel brown toggle coat, dark blue skinny jeans, dark brown fedora hat with a golden band, a striped long knit scarf and belle flats.
She wore dark sunglasses for protection from the glare of cameras.
Meanwhile, Britney, who appears on the cover of Glamour magazine's January issue, says she will eventually start looking for a father to her kids.
"In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable," Spears says.
She also indicated that the real Britney Spears is not the party hopping, underwear baring, head shaving and umbrella wielding troubled pop star who has been rehabbed and hospitalized for mental sickness several times over the past two years, but a sit at home girl who hates crowds.
"I don't like going out," Spears says. "I hate clubs. I hate being around too many people. I love my home and staying in bed and watching Dancing With the Stars or reading a Danielle Steel novel. I'm kind of boring."
