November 19, 2008, (Sawf News) - Rihanna stayed cozy and well protected from the evening chill, without detracting from her style, as she arrived at JFK airport in New York City on board a flight form Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 18.
She paired her silver grey jacket with black skinny jeans and black knit beanie, with her fringe covering the forehead. She accessorized with over sized shades, black knee high boots, a tie-dye print long scarf, black leather hobo bag, large studded hoop earrings, a necklace and a chunky ring in her left hand ring finger.
The 20-year-old songstress will light the UNICEF snowflake on Fifth Avenue and 57th Street tonight (November 19) along with Gucci creative director Frida Giannini, kicking off the Italian brand's first worldwide campaign featuring the songstress to benefit the organization.
Earlier in November, Rihanna was announced as the spokesmodel for Gucci's new campaign for The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
She fronts the Italian designer's Tattoo Heart range of products. A quarter of all profits made from the line will be donated to the children's charity.
Explaining why they chose the singer, Giannini said her "strong personality" was a good fit for the cause, because "a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign."
Since 2005, the luxury brand has raised close to $6 million for UNICEF through special limited edition handbag collections.
