November 10, 2008, (Sawf News) - Britney Spears' younger son, Jayden James Federline, 2, was rushed to the hospital at approximately 1:30 PM on Sunday, November 9, following an allergic reaction to something that he ate.
In a statement released to the press on Monday, a rep for the Spears' family says:
"Jayden James Federline was admitted to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, November 9th. Doctors concluded he had a reaction to something he ingested. He is expected to be discharged tomorrow."
"He had hives, was itchy and irritable," a source told People magazine.
"He's doing fine," the source added. "They kept him overnight."
Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, spent the night at the hospital with Jayden.
Britney, 26, is currently at the Spears family home in Kentwood, having arrived there on Friday, November 7, with sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2. This is the first time she has been allowed to travel out of California with the toddlers since loosing their custody to ex Kevin Federline earlier this year. She is also accompanied by her father and conservator Jamie Spears.
A rep for Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline had no comment.
