November 03, 2008, (Sawf News) - Country Music star Carrie Underwood says her claim in the September issue of Allure magazine that she still gets phone calls from her ex Tony Romo was made in passing and not designed to hurt Romo's current squeeze Jessica Simpson.
"I haven't talked to him since, like, May," Underwood, 25, tells Elle in its December issue.
"It was just something that was said in passing," she adds. "I would never mean to say anything to hurt anybody or to stir up anything because I'm just not about drama - at all."
Commenting on Simpson being upset by her claims, Underwood extended the olive branch to the aspiring country music singer saying, "I might be mad too if somebody said my boyfriend was calling some other girl. So I can definitely see where [she] would be coming from."
Underwood, who was seen on a dinner date with The Bachelor star Travis Stork at Parc restaurant in Philadelphia on October 20, played politically correct when commenting on the relationship.
"If I say I am [dating someone] or I'm not, as soon as this magazine comes out, it might be the opposite of what I tell you now. In three months, it'll be 'Carrie said she's not dating anybody,' yet last night, I was out on the town with some guy. He's going to get mad at me. Everybody's going to think I'm a liar. It's just best not to go there."
We, however, think her response was a long winded yes!
Carrie Underwood will host the 42nd Annual CMA Awards along with Brad Paisley on November 12.
Carrie and Brad will also perform at the event.
