According to the Sun, after playing just two notes Amy smashed her $6,000 guitar in a fit of rage at the West London studio.
"She's lost it," says a witness.
Amy's drug and alcohol abuse accompanied with self-destructive behavior has become regular tabloid news since 2007.
Amy second studio album Back to Black (2006) won her six Grammy nominations and five Grammy Awards, tying the record for the most wins by a female artist in a single night.
It also made Winehouse the first British singer to win five Grammys, including three of the "Big Four": Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
