The happy mother daughter duo played with each other in between takes.
Also on set was Alec Baldwin, who took a moment to take a photo with a young fan.
Salma Hayek, 42, who had earlier committed to a two episode guest appearance on the NBC's TV comedy series, playing Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) love interest Elisa, will now be a recurring character in the series, reports Access Hollywood.
"I am so excited to be part of such an intelligent, funny show, as well as working with the brilliant Alec Baldwin and the rest of the cast of 30 Rock," Salma said in a statement.
30 Rock premieres on October 30 (Thursday, 9:30-10 p.m. ET).
Salma and French businessman Francois-Henri Pinault, the father of Valentina, broke of their engagement in July.
"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment," Hayek's rep said in a statement.
