October 09, 2008, (Sawf News) - A 90- minute film produced by MTV and tentatively titled For the Record, will document Britney Spears return to show biz with the upcoming release of her sixth studio album Circus.
The documentary will air on November 30 at 10 p.m. on MTV, two days before the release of Circus on December 2, the pop star's 27th birthday.
"So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there's a lot that people don't know about me that I want them to know," Spears told MTV News in a statement about the special. "I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn't being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in. This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I've been through and where I'm headed."
The documentary will feature stories and behind the scene footage from Britney's personal and professional life up to the release of her album, including her visit to her hometown in Louisiana, studio recording sessions, rehearsals, press tour and the video shoot for Womanizer.
It will also feature backstage footage from her appearance on MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, where Britney triumphantly walked away with three moonmen for Piece of Me in the categories: 'Video of the Year,' 'Best Female Video' and 'Best Pop Video.'
"I've been through a lot, and there's a lot people don't know," Britney says in the film. "Sometimes it can get lonely 'cause you don't open the gate. I'm stuck in this place, and I just cope every day."
Talking about her tail spinning life style following her divorce from Kevin Federline in 2007, Britney wonders, "I sit there and I look back - 'I'm a smart person, what the hell was I thinking?' "
