Speaking at Miley's Sweet 16 Disneyland birthday bash on Sunday, October 5, Leticia said, "She had a credit card, and she went a little over her limit the other day, so I said, 'No credit card for six months.'"
Miley, who often flies in a private jet, is kept firmly grounded by her parents, who allow her to spend just $300 per month on clothes.
Miley had to forego the use of her credit card once earlier, when she lost the very first one given to her in just two days!
The Hannah Montana star, who actually turns sixteen on November 23, celebrated her upcoming birthday at Disneyland, California on Sunday evening, October 5, with 5,000 fans, each of whom paid $250 each for the chance to rejoice with Miley.
The bash was scheduled before the birthday in view of Miley's busy schedule in the days ahead, and to beat the annual holiday decorating effort at Disneyland.
Miley's new rumored boyfriend, country crooner Justin Gaston, took to the stage during the bash to play the guitar and sing Achy Breaky Heart with Miley's dad, Billy Ray and her older sister Brandi.
Miley's family bought her a dog as her birthday present.
