September 25, 2008 (Sawf News) - Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are considering getting back together in order to raise their two sons as a family. The couple is reported to be undergoing counseling to rekindle their relationship, and part of the therapy involves going on formal dates.
"Britney is so excited," a source told the National Enquirer. "She's never stopped loving Kevin or hoping they'd get back together.
"Kevin still loves Britney too and if all goes well after six months of counseling they'll move back in together with the boys."
Not surprisingly, the reconciliation between Britney and Kevin is being brokered by Britney's father and co-conservator Jamie Spears. The recent amicable settlement of their child custody dispute has made the former couple more amenable to the idea.
"Britney's dad first talked to Kevin about reconciling with her last spring. He was really noncommittal at the time because he and Britney were still at odds over custody.
"But Kevin's always believed it would be best for the boys to be raised by both parents, and he and Jamie spent weeks looking for a counselor who suited both his and Britney's personalities and could come to their homes."
Considering her mental health problems, reconciliation maybe the only way Britney can regain full custody of her children.
Her decision to sell the Summit property in Beverly Hills was prompted by a desire to move nearer to Kevin and their sons.
"If all goes well they'll move into Britney's new house together," the source revealed.
Meanwhile, Britney is believed to have completed filming the video of her first single, Womanizer, from her upcoming sixth studio album Circus, on Wednesday, September 24.
