September 11, 2008 (Sawf News) - Carrie Underwood, who famously split with Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford, over text continues to stay in touch with him…we are guessing over text?
Speaking to Allure magazine for its September issue cover story, Carrie, 25, said she still gets phone calls from her ex Tony Romo but she doesn't always pick up the phone.
For the record, this time it is not Carrie who is claiming that a former boyfriend continues to be in touch, but Chace who is admitting that he and Carrie still have a cordial relationship.
Chace made the admission, speaking to OK! magazine Wednesday night, September 10, at the Stand Up For a Cure lung cancer benefit at NYC's Madison Square Garden.
Carrie confirmed her split with Chace during the taping of Idol Gives Back in April.
"It was completely mutual," she said. "We broke up over text so ... it's like 'peace out.' "
"It just didn't work," she added. "We both knew it didn't work and [had] no hard feelings at all whatsoever."
We think Chace's continued interest in Carrie is understandable considering he likes good lookers. Here is what he had to say about the Republican VP nominee.
"I'm not gonna lie, Sarah Palin's quite attractive," he said recently.
Carrie Underwood album Carnival Ride has won a nomination at the CMA for Best Album of the Year.
Others competing in the category are Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates, Alan Jackson's Good Time, Strait's Troubadour and Brooks & Dunn's Cowboy Town.
