She has put her past behind, changing even her cell phone number and email id, and boldly gone public with her romance in a manner rarely seen in Hollywood.
Speaking to People magazine for their upcoming issue cover story, Jessica says boyfriend Tony Romo is her "perfect guy."
"I just told him today, 'You're the love of my life,' " she told the magazine
"I don't really ever say that to anybody," she added.
Explaining why she changed her cell phone number and email id, Jessica says, "I don't want anybody that's been in my life [before] in my life anymore. I don't even want them to have any way of contacting me."
The finality is tinged with some obvious bitterness stemming from her past relationship with rocker John Mayer, whom she dated from August 2006 to May 2007.
"I had to regain self-esteem and self-value," Jessica says referring to Mayer.
Simpson tells the magazine that she gives over her heart fully and expects the same in return:
"I just love, so I don't understand when people can't do exactly what I do."
