Photo Credit: Miley & Mandy ShowAugust 19, 2008 (Sawf News) - In a new and well enacted YouTube video titled Wake Up America, Miley Cyrus and her friend "Mandy" Jiroux beseech young Americans to adopt a Green lifestyle.
In a text message accompanying the video the teenaged friends say:
"Going green is something that is rarely brought up with the kids today. WE ARE HERE TO TELL YOU, KIDS ARE THE FUTURE! Find fun ways that YOU can go green... and share it with your friends!"
The video starts with Miley walking into a room while Mandy is on the phone placing orders for environmentally unfriendly items such as Hair spray aerosol cans and genuine fur coats. Having placed the order, Mandy starts to clear her desk and sees a paper with the slogan 'Go Green' written boldly inscribed on it. She doesn't understand what it means and tears it up as Miley watches.
She then starts showing Miley her new fur coat which prompts the Hannah Montanna star to tell her in a friendly but authoritative tone - "We need to talk"
"What's wrong?" asks Mandy.
"I know you don't want to hear it," says Miley.
"Why?"
"Specially coming from someone so young," adds Miley.
The video goes on to show the two friends dance to a number titled 'Wake Up America' and give tips on what the young Americans can do to help the planet.

- Save & Reuse bottles
- Quick showers instead of baths
- Organic products with no harsh chemicals
