August 12, 2008 (Sawf News) - Even as Penelope Cruz plays down her lip lock with Scarlett Johansson in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Johansson is not only comfortable talking about it but terms the experience pleasant, more so than kissing a male star!

"Everybody wants to know what it was like," Johansson tells Parade.com. "Penelope had less facial hair than a guy so it was certainly more pleasant. It was better than kissing Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Match Point. Kissing him wasn't that bad, but he did have to stop and shave in the middle of a scene even though he'd shaved that morning. The man has really got some beard on him."

Vicky Cristina Barcelona, starring Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Rebecca Hall and Javier Bardem, is director Woody Allen's first to be shot in Spain, and his fourth consecutive film shot outside the US. It was shot in Avilés, Barcelona and Oviedo.

The plot centers on two American women, Vicky (Rebecca Hall) and Cristina (Scarlett Johansson), who are vacationing in Barcelona. Once there, the two women meet an artist, and the three quickly develop a relationship. The artist, however, is still enamored of his mentally unstable ex-girlfriend.

The film premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival in May 2008 and will be released in theaters on August 15.

Johansson, who has worked with Woody Allen in two films earlier - Match Point (2005) and Scoop (2006) - says she worships Woody and would "do anything on one of his movies." She compares her relationship with him to that of "a young woman, great-uncle."

"Let's say a young blossoming woman and a sort of droopy, Jewish kind of yenta," she says.

Johansson, 23, confirmed her engagement to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds on May 5. The two have been dating for about two years.

"I'm so fortunate to be in a very solid and comfortable relationship," she says. "I'm in a good place in my life right now."
