July 28, 2008 (Sawf News) - Katee Sackhoff turned heads wearing a black cutaway dress at the 2008 Comic Con International Sci-Fi/Entertainment Weekly Party at Hotel Solamar in San Diego, CA on July 26, 2008.
She was one of the attendees on the panel for Battlestar Galactica that included Jamie Bamber, Michael Trucco, James Callis, Tricia Helfer, creator Ron Moore and producer David Eick.
Katee Sackhoff, 28, who plays Captain Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on the Sci Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica, has been practicing Yoga since before it became trendy. She learnt it as part of the physiotherapy she underwent after she injured both her knees as a teenager.
She practices Bikram yoga which consists of 26 postures and two breathing exercises that are performed at sauna-room temperatures.
She believes the breathing techniques to go with the intense heat help her during her 10-mile run every Sunday, as also to perform her stunts for the TV show.

Yoga also helps her mentally.
"It forces you to center yourself and be present," she says. "I think that anything that helps people be more present in Hollywood is probably a good thing."
Sackhoff has three tattoos. The one on her right forearm, often seen on the show, reads "bona fiscalia," meaning "good qualities" (blessings) in legal Latin. One, on the back of her neck, is a Chinese symbol ('choice'). Another, a cross, is covered with bandages whenever her shoulder is uncovered during shooting because there is no Christianity in the Battlestar Galactica universe.
