July 28, 2008 (Sawf News) - Jake Gyllenhaal's sister Maggie Gyllenhaal has become fond of Reese Witherspoon's son Deacon, an indication that Reese and Jake are set to take their relationship to the next level.
Maggie, who stars in the runaway hit The Dark Knight recently gifted Deacon, 4, a collection of action figures from the movie and a copy of the script, reports OK! magazine.
"He's quite the Batman fan," a friend of the family told the magazine. "Deacon has been waiting for The Dark Knight to come out, although Reese was worried that it was too dark for him to watch at his age."
Reese, 32, and Jake, 28, have been spending time together despite their busy schedules.
The two enjoyed a romantic dinner at Allard's in Paris recently.
"They looked very much in love and were happy and smiling the whole time," a staffer told OK!.
Reese has been openly dating her Rendition co-star since her divorce from Ryan Pillippe was finalized on October 5, 2007.
However, she is not in a hurry to get married even though Jake is apparently ready for it.
"Jake wants to get married, he's never been engaged and he's never been married before," a friend of the couple said recently. "He wants to experience that, and have that high of saying vows and making it official. He's a guy that does things by the book, and I wouldn't be surprised if by the year's end he and Reese got married… it's just convincing her it's what to do!"
Reese has two children with Ryan Phillippe: daughter Ava Elizabeth, born September 9, 1999, and son Deacon Reese, born October 23, 2003.
