"They've been dating for months," a source told People magazine.
Speculation that Selena, 16, and Nick, 15, maybe an item heightened after Rolling Stone published their photo in the August issue of the magazine.
Gomez was earlier seen dancing with all three of the Jonas Brothers at the Disney Channel Games in Orlando, Fla., in March.
However, a rep for the Jonas Brothers says, "They are not girlfriend and boyfriend. They're friends. All of the Jonas Brothers are friends with Selena."
Interestingly, Nick and Selena both wear chastity rings.
"That was something we bonded over," said Gomez.
Gomez, who stars as Alex Russo on Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place has been getting a lot of press attention lately, amidst speculation that Disney, unnerved by Miley's proclivity to get mired in controversies, is grooming Gomez as a possible replacement teen icon.
Gomez, an only child of her parents, was raised in Texas. She was discovered by Disney in a nation wide talent search when she was 10 years old.
She has vowed to practice abstinence until she is married and wears a purity ring on her left ring finger that says "True Love Waits".
She asked her father to give her the promise ring to remind her of her vow.
