May 4, 2008 (Sawf News) - In her first public appearance following her controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot, Miley Cyrus delighted fans with her gig at a televised concert Saturday night, May 3, at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, to mark the end of Disney Channel Games.
Miley kicked off her gig with See You Again and went on to sing two new songs, Fly on the Wall and Breakout, from her second album due out July 22, 2008.
"I hope you had an awesome time," Miley told the crowd after her gig. "I saw a sign back there that said, 'Miley, I'm praying for you.' I could not be more appreciative. Thank you guys for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love everyone of you and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you."
The concert, which airs in July, included performances by the Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt.
Miley skipped a network media party hosted by Disney for stars and execs in town on Friday, May 2.
The 15-year-old appeared totally unfazed by the controversy that she had stirred, as she practiced until just an hour before the show was to start.
