The pair plays husband and wife in the canine comedy directed by David Frankel.
Filming began on March 10 and is scheduled to end by May 28 for a theatrical release around Christmas.
Casting director Lori Wyman is looking for 1,500 attractive people of all races, ages, shapes and sizes, to cast as extras in various scenes being shot at South Florida beaches, parks, schools and neighborhoods.
Wilson spent some quality time with ex-girlfriend Kate Hudson while she was on vacation in Miami with her son Ryder in the month of March.
