The pair seemed to be enjoying themselves amidst reports that they are engaged.
However, when asked about it Kate showed her hand and replied, "do you see a ring on this finger?" She then added, "its a very funny engagement".
The pair drove around for a while before stopping at a video store on their way home.
The model is the latest in the series of celeb buyers of one of London's famous black taxis. She is said to have bought it for about $90,000.
Kate 34, has been with 39-year-old guitarist Hince, frontman with rock duo The Kills, since summer 2007, after splitting with Pete Doherty.
