Washington, Feb 10 (ANI): Australian actress Cate Blanchett paid tribute to Heath Ledger at his memorial service in Perth, Australia on Feb 9.
Cate and Ledger's parents recited moving eulogies at the late actor’s memorial service, where more than 300 family members, friends and fans gathered to bid farewell to the Brokeback Mountain star.
Blanchett, who was Ledger’s co-star in I'm Not There, gave a funny and touching eulogy about the time they had spent together.
The memorial service also had a photomontage dedicated to Ledger's family and daughter Matilda, his two-year-old with former fiancée Michelle Williams.
Ledger's father Kim had earlier addressed the media to ask them for privacy as the family attended the private funeral service at Fremantle Cemetery, where the body was cremated.
Ledger was found dead at his New York apartment on 22 January (08), aged 28.
Toxicology results released recently revealed he was killed by an accidental overdose of prescribed medication. (ANI)
