London, Feb 9 (ANI): Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills has agreed to a 10 million-pound divorce deal and has consented to seal her lips regarding any details about their marriage, according to reports.

In an emotional phone call, Mills has promised that she'll never accuse the veteran singer of attacking her if he agrees to confirm the lucrative deal.

According to sources close to Mills, she is nervous of taking the witness stand when their divorce hearing begins in the High Court in London on 12th Feb.

"She is determined not to be labeled a gold digger and believes the offer is a fair reflection of what she contributed to the marriage," the Mirror quoted a friend, as saying.

The 40-year-old former model has actually settled for an amount 40 million pounds less than she had been expected to hold out for.

"Heather has never wanted the divorce to end up being fought in court or for everything to become so bitter. With the court case due to start she contacted Paul in the hope of settling out of court. It is a greatly reduced offer - far less than the £50million Paul once thought he might have to fork out. So she hoped he'd bite her hand off to accept," said the source.

It was also revealed that Heather also said during the call that she'd let go of any rights to the homes Sir Paul owned with his first wife Linda.

"She hoped a relatively minimal payout would endear her to the public and really prove she's no gold digger. She's been waiting for the phone call agreeing to the deal every day, though this hasn't happened. But she's still holding out hope and praying Paul will surprise her with a midnight call tomorrow saying he's come to his senses and will accept," the source said.

She even vowed to remain in England until her daughter with the former Beatle, Beatrice, turns 18. However, she demanded a trust fund and full security and protection for her.

However, Macca's friends insisted that he's determined to resolve the situation in court after giving Heather every opportunity to settle before now.

"Paul wants to clear his name and make sure the divorce is finalized formally and correctly. Heather has dragged things out for so long and has been given countless chances to resolve it amicably but has been pig-stubborn," said one of Macca's friends.

At the High Court hearing Justice Bennett will decide how much of Sir Paul's estimated 825million pounds fortune and other assets Heather is entitled to.

According to the sources Macca would be dishing out 2.5 million pounds a year for 14 years to Mills, until the couple's daughter Beatrice turns 18. The other major clause in the agreement bars Mills to discuss the breakdown of her 6-year marriage to the veteran singer.

Under the agreement, Beatrice's primary custody will be given to Mills, while Sir Paul would be granted equal visitation rights and would retain the marital home and his homes in Sussex, Scotland, New York and Los Angeles.

The deal is worth 7 percent of Sir Paul's 825 million pounds fortune, and it would be the highest settlement for a wife in Britain. (ANI)

Meanwhile, spokesmen for both Mills and Macca did not comment on the subject. (ANI)
