Washington, Oct 4 (ANI): Britney Spears has lost her bid to regain custody of her two young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, and will have to make do with monitored visitation rights.

The singer had earlier lost custody of the boys on Oct 1, but went to court once again.

However, a family court commissioner ruled that the singer would not be getting custody of her kids, and would instead be getting visitation rights, reports E!Online.

Federline, or K-Fed as he is know, was sharing temporary custody with Britney, since their divorce at the end of July.

However a week after their divorce became finalised, Federline filed for primary physical custody, citing Britney's hard-partying ways and expressing concern for their children's well-being in her presence.

On Sept. 18, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon handed Spears a lengthy to-do list if she wanted to maintain joint custody with her ex.

Among the court's orders: random drug testing twice a week, parent counselling and refraining from consuming alcohol or non-prescription drugs at least 12 hours prior to being in the children's company.

However, since Britney was not able to comply with some of the orders, Federline was awarded custody, starting Oct 3 at noon, "until further order of the court."

Spears has now been ordered to appear at a hearing on Oct. 26.

In the meantime, Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said that K-Fed was 'pleased' with the way things had turned out.

"As far as whether we won, or as far as Kevin's happy. I'll say we felt that the orders were justified and he was pleased with the orders that were in place," E!Online quoted him, as saying. (ANI)
