July 10, 2007(Sawf News): CBS anchor, Katie Couric’s dwindling show ratings has her doubting her move to the evening news and recently she revealed to have even taken out her frustrations on the news editor by slapping him around for using a word ‘sputum’.
In an interview with New York magazine, the CBS Evening News anchor, Couric confessed to have been struggling with her evening news stint which has been bumpy.
She slapped news editor Jerry Cipriano on the arm for using the word ''sputum'' during a tuberculosis story last month.
"I got mad at him and said, 'You can't do this to me. You have to tell me when you're going to use a word like that'," Couric said. "I was aggravated, there's no question about that. I sort of slapped him around."
It turns out that Couric has a good relationship with Cipriano and all was forgiven.
"It became kind of a joke," she said.
