Beyonce (February 25, 2007). Photo Credit: Fernando Allende / Splash News July 9, 2007(Sawf News): Singer and actress Beyonce made a surprise visit to the ER to check up on the two fans injured at her concert when malfunctioning pyrotechnics went off.
The incident took place during Beyonce’s concert in St. Louis Sunday night, reports Access Holywood.
Just as the R&B star's concert began pyrotechnics meant for the stage accidentally spilled into the front row injuring two concertgoers who were taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Spokeswoman Kathy Holleman said the injuries were minor. Both were expected to make a full recovery.
"She was just very concerned about the people injured in the audience," said head nurse Darryl Williams. "It was unannounced and we kept it very low-key so that she could spend time with them."
The five time Grammy award winner, Beyonce met with the two fans, who her reps declined to identify, for about 45 minutes.
"I just thought it was a great thing for someone of her stature to do," Williams said.
