Washington, June 28 (ANI): The person who really helped Angelina Jolie cope with her mother’s death was ex hubby Billy Bob Thornton.
Jolie and Thornton married after meeting on the sets of their movie Pushing Tin in 2000, but three years down the line hit the divorce courts.
However, when Jolie lost her mum Marcheline Bertrand, to cancer earlier this year in January, her ex gave her a condolence call and a few words that worked wonders for her, the Mr and Mrs Smith star reveals to Marie Claire magazine.
"He said, 'You'll never get over it. It's never going to be OK, and once you accept that, you realize you never want to get over it,'" she told the magazine.
"He said, 'Just kind of let it sit with you, and let it be a part of who you now are,'" Jolie adds.
The star, who has been constantly looking frail and emaciated in all her recent public appearances, admitted that she has become too thin and revealed that her worrying weight loss is a result of stress following her mother’s demise.
"I've always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I've gone through a lot,” she said.
The UN Goodwill ambassador is currently in Prague where she’s shooting her new movie Wanted in which she plays an assassin. (ANI)
