June 25, 2007(Sawf News): Victoria Beckham has accepted "substantial," libel damages from the U.K.'s Star magazine over an article that described her as "picky, demanding, and rude," and "full of herself" according to the crew of her forthcoming NBC reality special.
The Star claimed that back in April the crew of "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" was complaining that Mrs. Beckham was "picky, demanding, and rude," "full of herself," and "not very nice."
Northern & Shell PLC, the parent company for the magazine, -- apologized in a British High Court today and agreed to pay Beckham's legal costs and undisclosed but "substantial" damages, according to a Tmz.com.
Beckham’s lawyer, Gerrard Tyrrell, told Britain's High Court that filming hadn't even begun at the time the story was published. "The story was therefore completely inaccurate and defamatory of Ms. Beckham," he said.
"The crew got a big laugh out of how she seems to think she's 'all that' and then some doorman or waiter has no clue who she is," the article read.
The show, Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, is set to air a one hour special on NBC on July 16th.
