© AFP/Getty Images/File Frederick M. Brown22 June 2007 (Sawf News) - In addition to the $1 million that she will get from NBC to talk about her experience in jail, Paris Hilton will get an additional $300,000 from People magazine for an exclusive print interview.
In other words, Paris will earn $43,578 a day for each of her 23 days in jail.
The print interview in People magazine will run next Friday and carry photos from Getty images for which Paris has inked a separate deal with the photo agency.
"It's a fascinating story and we're thrilled to have it," said People managing editor Larry Hackett, who believes the interview with the "Today" show's Meredith Vieira will only whet the appetite for the People story.
Meanwhile, according to TMZ no party is planned by the Hiltons to celebrate the return of their daughter from jail.
"We're just gonna let her decompress, be at home for a while, get the family together" Kathy told TMZ, adding "she is doing much better."
Counting the money that she has made from her incarceration will certainly help Paris decompress.
