© AFP/File Lisa BlumenfeldWashington, June 16 (ANI): Actor David Hasselhoff has won his legal battle with ex-wife Pamela Bach over the custody of their two daughters — Hayley, 14 and Taylor-Ann, 17.
The Los Angeles Superior court has awarded him the primary physical and sole legal custody of the girls.
“Mr. Hasselhoff was awarded sole physical custody of his children. My client is very happy and now he can go on with his life,” Usmagazine.com quoted his attorney Melvin Goldsman as saying.
The court decided in Hasselhoff’s favor despite the fact that a judge had suspended his right to visit the girls, after a videotape filmed by Taylor-Ann showed the America’s Got Talent judge drunk and eating a burger off his living room floor.
The former ‘Baywatch’ star’s attorney did not reveal the reasons that turned the case to his favor.
“The hearing was closed and I can’t talk about the specific reasons why the judge made this ruling, but he reviewed all the evidence presented and then made his ruling,” he said.
After the judge had pronounced his verdict in the case, Bach was spotted crying.
"What am I gonna say? I just lost my kids," TMZ quoted her as telling her lawyer Debra Opri.
Bach and Hasselhoff, who married in 1989, had been entangled in the bitter custody battle over the last year, since the actor filed for divorce in January 2006 after 16 years of their marriage. (ANI)
