Washington, Mar 12: Actress Ashley Judd, who is in India for an AIDS awareness program, had to cut short her visit to Mumbai’s red light district after being mobbed by fans.
Judd is in the country promoting AIDS awareness as an ambassador for Youth AIDS.
However, a meeting with sex workers in the Kamathipura district in Mumbai ended in chaos when hundreds of eager fans crowded in the narrow streets to get a look of the celebrity.
"We had to postpone plans as there were too many people," said K Balaji, a spokesperson for the YouthAIDS.
Judd's security staff bundled her into a waiting car, delaying her program by several hours.
However, she returned to the area later to continue her visit. The actress' week-long Indian itinerary will now be kept secret to prevent a similar situation. (ANI)
