Photo Credit: Splash News6 March 2007 (Sawf News) - Jessica Simpson supports a brunette look in real life these days, some believe to match the sumptuous cranial foliage of her crooner boyfriend John Mayer, but her roots, or at least those of her hair, are blonde.
Simpson, 26, was recently in New York shooting for her new film Blonde Ambition. While on the sets of the film she donned a blonde wig to revert to her original looks.
The singer-turned-actress is very upbeat about her role in the film. The caper tells the story of a young professional woman (Simpson) who unwittingly becomes the pawn of two business executives in their bid to oust the head of a mega-conglomerate.

Photo Credit: Asadorian / Splash News"I don't want to sound conceited or brag or anything, but I really did do a good job," she told Hello magazine shortly after the film wrapped. "I am so proud of myself."
She, however, admits that she was nervous about the role.
"The hardest thing about Blonde Ambition was that I'm carrying the weight of the movie on my shoulders," she said. "I was in every shot, pretty much, and it was very time-consuming. You don't really understand until a week after you're done shooting, and you're like, 'Oh my gosh, I memorized all those lines! Wow!'"
We are sure the presence of John Mayer in NYC during the filming must have calmed her nerves.
