© AFP/Getty Images/File Kevin Winter01 Mar 2007 (Sawf News) - Daniel Smith's biological father, Billy Wayne Smith, is the next fool to rush in and join the vanity and greed driven bickering between friends, lovers and relatives of the model whose tumultuous and possibly tortured life is increasingly looking like the calm before the storm unleashed by her death.
Smith wants his son's body exhumed and moved from the Bahamas to Texas!
His lawyer, Kara S.P. Butler, in a letter, the copy of which has been obtained by TMZ, is asking The Chief Magistrate of the Bahamas, Roger Gomez, "permission to have the remains of Daniel Wayne Smith (deceased) exhumed from its current location here in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and to be transferred where his father and family reside in the State of Texas."
Billy Smith was the first husband of Nicole Smith. The two met as teenagers while they worked at Jim's Krispy Fried Chicken in Mexia, Texas. They married in 1985, and Daniel was born the following year.
Smith and Billy separated in 1987 and were officially divorced on February 3, 1993.
