01 Jan 2007 (Sawf News) - Rumors that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who is currently dating Country Music Singer and 2005 American Idol Carrie Underwood, was once romantically linked with Jessica Simpson are tenuous, if not outright false.
According to a story by PageSix the two have never met! Their sources believe the rumors were floated by Jessica's manager father, Joe Simpson, who "lent her name out to Romo in exchange for game tickets."
Jessica's publicist, Cindi Berger, refutes the suggestion about Joe selling out his daughter calling it "totally false". According to her, rumors of a romantic link originated because Romo once mentioned that he wanted to meet Jessica.
A rep for the Cowboys did not return calls.
