© AFP/Getty Images/File Scott Gries Washington, Dec 30: Mariah Carey has petitioned the US patent and trademark office to prevent porn celebrity Mary Carey from trade marking her name, saying that their identical surnames would confuse fans.
She claims the public is likely to confuse her services with porn star’s adult entertainment products.
The Grammy winner’s company Automatic Princess Holdings alleged that Mary's attempt to trademark her name was to confuse customers with her porn products.
Mary Carey, whose real name is Mary Cook, thinks that Mariah is crazy to have made the appeal, and is equally irritated by the fact that her customers could mistake her products for Mariah’s.
Crazy! She's Crazy! Mary's my name!" Mary told TMZ.
Mary was even more furious to know that one of her scornful stalkers had issued a statement supporting Mariah Carrey’s petition. (ANI)
