The couple got married, according to Scientology rites, on November 18, 2006 in a high profile wedding at a 15th-century Odescalchi castle near Rome and arrived in the Maldives the next day.
The honeymoon, largely spent island hopping in Tom's friend James Packer's boat, The Arctic P, was marred by rain.

Tom was dressed casually with trainers while Katie was wearing a pair of Victoria Beckham white jeans. Tom flew home with his family in his private Gulfstream jet, which was at the airport.
