© AFP/Getty Images/FileWashington, Jan 8 (ANI): Jazz star Norah Jones is back on the sexy singles’ list after parting ways with her long-term beau Lee Alexander, the bassist in her band.
The couple broke up just before the festive holidays when he moved out of their U.S. home.
According to the New York Post, the split was amicable with the duo still remain ‘friends.’
The 28-year-old singer, the daughter of sitar maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar, rose to fame with her 2002 debut album Come Away with Me, a contemporary pop album with a sensual, plaintive soul/folk/country tinge.
It sold over twenty million copies worldwide and received five Grammy Awards, with Jones winning ‘Best New Artist’.
Norah's third album, Not Too Late, was written entirely by her and Lee.
Norah recently revealed she has a secret obsession with fellow singer Shakira.
She said: "She's hot. I like that she's this pop star, but she's also kind of unique and weird. I always sing Shakira when I do karaoke with my friends."
Norah also admitted she sometimes uses her vocal talent to help her seduce men.
She said: "When I'm singing, the goal is definitely to seduce. But I'm not Beyoncé or Christina Aguilera - if I'm going to get you, I'm going to get you by whispering."
