July 15, 2008 (Sawf News) - Maggie Gyllenhall attended the world premiere of The Dark Knight, one of the most awaited films of the year, along with her co-stars in the film at AMC Loews Lincoln Square, 68th Street and Broadway in New York City, Monday night, July 14, 2008.
Gyllenhaal looked stunning in a black custom-made strapless Dries Van Noten dress with large floral prints in bright color. She accessorized with red and turquoise blue strappy heels and Fred Leighton jewels - tear drop earrings and a black and gold bracelet on her right hand. Her scarlet lipstick matched her dress and the neatly pulled back hairdo well.

Not known to be an attention hog, Maggie said "(before walking the carpet) I had a glass of wine. I did some yoga."
Maggie, 30, replaced Katie Holmes who appeared in Batman Begins (2005), as Rachel Dawes. She shot the film when her daughter Ramona was an infant and she used to bring her to the set. Heath Ledger used to bring his daughter Matilda and Gary Oldman's two young boys would join in too. Ramona turns 2 in October 2008.

In September 2007 Maggie appeared in British lingerie label Agent Provocateur campaign, taking over from Kate Moss, showing serious skin. She posed in various steamy shots that included handcuffed shots and splashing in the bath.
In her tribute to co-star Heath Ledger Maggie said, "It's very difficult to talk about. This isn't really the place where you open your heart up."
"It's terribly sad that Heath is gone, and of course I feel bad, but it's difficult to talk about here."
The $150 million budget superhero film, The Dark Knight, directed by Christopher Nolan, is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005). The cast includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Heath Ledger as The Joker, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent / Two-Face, Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
The film will be released on July 16, 2008 in Australia, on July 18, 2008 in North America, and on July 25, 2008 in the United Kingdom.
