The always safe black color prevailed and many celebrities opted for trendy silver sequined dresses.

The large number of celebrities who opted for black in varying shades including Kelly Pickler, Jordin Sparks, Rihanna, Amanda Bynes, Fergie, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift.
However, many of them ventured beyond the Little Black Dress opting for trends such as cutouts, sequins and jeweled necklines.
Amongst those that opted for silver sequins were Julianne Hough, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and Ashley Tisdale.

Rihanna looked heady in a risqué halter neck skin showing banded waist Armani black dress with a bold neckline. The contoured skirt of dress with embossed print and Swarovksi crystals reached down just to her knees revealing as much skin on her legs as above her waist.

Admittedly, the extent of the skin show was almost risqué but the 19-year-old pulled it off extremely well.

Underwood who is on a winning spree did not just win three awards Sunday night - female country artist, country album for “Some Hearts” and the T-Mobile text-in award - she floored us with her sartorial finesse something that she has acquired recently.
Her white bare shoulder Georges Chakra laced mini dress with floral details went very well with her well toned body. The sheer mesh Rene Caovilla sandals with ankle straps, silvery Mary Norton clutch, studded bracelet and Mikimoto pearl drop earrings lent an ethereal touch to the ensemble.
Her hair swept up in a loose bun completed the stunning and angelic look.
