On September 4th, 2007, the Annual GQ Men of the Year Awards were held in the Royal Opera House in London, England.
The red carpet was graced by mostly English gliterati including Sir Elton John with David Furnish, Gordon Ramsay, James Blunt, Lily Allen, Ronan Keating, Natalie Imbruglia and Kanye West. Also at the event were supermodels Elle Macpherson and Helena Christensen, who definitely made a statement in their choice of evening wear!
Elle Macpherson is a hot commodity in any language. The woman made her name being scantily clad for Sports Illustrated magazine shoots as well as Victoria's Secret lingerie, before splashing in new waters with her own lingerie collection, Elle Macpherson Intimates.
The six-foot Aussie was married to Gilles Bensimon, creative director of Elle magazine, before moving on to French financier Arpad Busson. Post-two kids and a messy breakup with Busson, she is currently seeing Brit actor Ray Fearon. Of course, looking at her in this getup tells us exactly why she's such a hot property.
Ellegant
In this recent photograph, Elle wears a strapless blue dress leaving little to the imagination and four-inch heels in white. Not that someone as tall as her would need any more height, but you've got to give her credit for the attitude!
This forty-plus stunner and mother-of-two makes it all look so simple. Bear children, keep figure, and show the planet you can still rock the red carpet. Brava, Elle!

A former Miss Denmark, Helena founded Nylon magazine with a partner and also her own line of apparel named Christensen & Sigersen. She once shared a house with INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence, had a child by former model Norman Reedus, and then dated the lead singer of a Danish rock group before calling it quits in 2006.
Christensen lives a charmed life, splitting her time between homes in Monaco, Copenhagen and New York.

Christensen shows off a still-beautiful figure in a shirred white dress with black slides and straight hair, the style du jour. The gown itself is so dramatic that too much would overwhelm. However, her choice of ice is the perfect touch. Our one goal in life, to have her design our clothes.
