15 August 2007 (Sawf News) - Today's young singers don't just perform anymore. They write, act, and sometimes even design clothing. But Mandy Moore seems to be good at all of these things without much effort. Wish she had put in a little before she stepped out last evening.
On August 14th, at the Chelsea West Cinema in New York, Mandy Moore graced the carpet for her latest flick, Dedication.
The film is a romcom starring her and Billy Crudup in lead roles. Mandy plays a book illustrator who changes a successful children's author and his attitude towards love.
Of course, if anyone is capable of changing, it has to be chameleon Mandy who morphs herself from singer to star and back to singer again.
With seven major albums under her belt, Moore's got nothing to prove in the music world.
Post a few dalliances with Andy Roddick, Wilmer Valderrama, and Zach Braff, she has a fairly hot love life as well.
Moore is currently dating actor-singer Greg Laswell. While we couldn't be happier for her blossoming career, there was something to be desired in her look for the premiere.

Multiplicity
Hollywood's newest trend for blondes is to go brunette. While this work looks for some, like say Jessica Simpson or Jessica Biel, it somehow missed the boat with Mandy.
A little dimension is one thing, but a lot of color is just wasted liquid. Not to mention a bad red carpet choice. Add an ill-fitting dress and harsh makeup and you've got one overdone star.
Our suggestion? Choose a look that shows you've got curves and some makeup that doesn't subtract from your face, which otherwise is nice.
She probably thought this was cool and sophisticated, but it makes her look like a Kelly Osbourne clone, which is ironic since they are friends. Of course, friendship doesn't mean you have to copy everything she does.
Mandy goes on tour this August with Paula Cole.
