13 July 2007 (Sawf News) - What would summer be without three things: long sunny days, golden tans, and hot movie premieres? The latest film, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry had its screening on July 12th at the Citywalk Cinemas in Universal City, California. The film stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Jessica Biel in leading roles. INPYCAL is about a pair of middle-aged men who wind up becoming a family because widower Larry, played by Kevin James, wants to ensure his children’s future. Chuck, played by SNL alum Adam Sandler, wants just to be a swinging single. But he owes Larry a major debt and so, ends up getting caught in his elaborate plan.
The carpet was a mixed affair, some people looked good. And some people just looked like they threw some clothes on and came.
Best Dressed Jess
Fresh from having joined boyfriend JT in the UK, and Stockholm, Jessica Biel showed she’s no shrinking violet when it comes to the press. What’s to love about Jessica isn’t just her luminous skin and amazing figure, but her style choices consistently suit the venue. Whether she’s shopping with JT’s mom, or out strolling the rug, La Jessica knows how to put it together. Not only that, but refreshing is the fact that none of her bones show and she actually looks like a girl who eats, how cool is that! Here’s wishing some other actresses would follow her lead. All over Europe she played the doting girlfriend wearing low-key outfits and oversized glares which kept her in the shadows. But now that she’s promoting yet another film, the Hollywood starlet’s brought the magic back. Her rouged-up cheeks and raspberry mouth all say she’s beautiful and not afraid to show it. The low-cut ruffled dress with trendy T-strap sandals make her one classy girl. While she’s not in the serious drama category yet, Jess could have fooled us with this outfit. Two thumbs up!

While JB rocked the carpet in ruffles, wish we could say the same for another stunner, Katharine McPhee. The American Idol star came out in a printed blue-green-and-yellow number and pointy-toe heels that puzzled us. Was it a shirt she belted and pretended was a dress? Or was it an actual dress that ran out of fabric? Did she borrow it from a younger, shorter McPhee? The questions are endless. However, our take is not.
Where Kath is famous not just for a beautiful voice, but gams to go with it, tonight’s outfit didn’t do much for either. We’d daresay the cover for Stuff magazine with her legs bunched up had more style than this, a curtain from the seventies. Loved the long hair and the pretty pout, but wish you’d saved the comedy for the screen and not your clothes!

I guess fashion is in the eyes of the beholder because I thought Biel's dress was ugly and very inappropriate. If you observe the rest of the people around her, they are extremely casual which is what is appropriate for warm summer days. On the the other hand Katharine Mcphee's mini dress is darling. The bright and bold print is very young and she looks cool and comfortable. No offense, but I think you need to go back to fashion school or stop critiquing what people wear.
