Founder and head designer of Rock and Republic, Michael Ball gives us an entirely different look and style for the woman of today. His collection is defined by denim reinvented with a modern edge and feel and inspired by rock music. Necklines tended to be low and dresses and skirts were generally tight and form-fitting.
Ball chose neutral colors and metal ornamentation, which has been dominant this fall and will be into the spring season. He pairs off dress shirts cut with daringly low necklines and pencil skirts. His famously tight jeans are topped off with a strapless tube, highlighted with buckles. His short strapless number, done in denim, is given a low neck, high hemline and covered with studs, making for a perfect night on the town. His trenchcoat style dress bears a short hemline, and accessorized with open-toed gold heels.. The showstopper of Ball’s collection was a long, strapless number in an hourglass style, flaring out at the knees. His collection showed his fearlessness at taking risks and just why he has quickly risen in the fashion world.
