November 27, 2008, (Sawf News) - Brian Goodman written and directed crime drama What Doesn't Kill You starring Mark Ruffalo, Ethan Hawke and Amanda Peet is based on the life of Goodman.
The film, which premièred at the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival, is due in theaters on December 12, 2008.
Hawke and Ruffalo play childhood friends Paulie and Brian, respectively, who are forced to survive on the tough streets of South Boston through a life of petty thievery. They join a local gang of criminals headed by Pat Kelly (Brian Goodman) and get into more serious offences. Brian finds it hard to reconcile his work and friendship with Paulie and his relationship with his wife (Amanda Peet) and son. Paulie wants Brian to partner in crime for one last time. Will the duo ever escape the life they have ever known?
