November 19, 2008, (Sawf News) - Taylor Swift's sophomore album, Fearless, topped the 'Billboard 200' and 'Top Country Albums,' selling 592,000 copies in its first week in stores, recording the best sales for a country album in a year.
Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden sold 711,000 copies last November.
Swift's Fearless outperformed the Jonas Brothers' latest record, A Little Bit Longer, which sold 525,000 in its debut week, a statistic which may or may not be significant to her following her over the phone dumping by Joe Jonas in early October.
Fearless recorded 129,000 downloads during the week, the fourth best performance since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2004.
Swift's Love Story is currently the No. 1 country single.
Six new songs from the album are set to debut on tomorrow's Billboard Hot 100 which already has White Horse at No. 13.
